Istanbul Overview

(Details to come, I promise!!)

Alex, Sophie, Margaux, Gwen, Erica and I left for Turkey last friday for Eid el adha, the muslim celebration of Abraham's sacrifice of the sheep instead of his son (Ishmael for Islam, Isaac for Xtianity)
Any break from school is much appreciated, and we had an incredible time exploring the city!
My favorite part of the trip was our tour of the Hagia Sophia, but I also really enjoyed wandering around and going inside mosques, along with our trips to the Military Museum and the Museum of Islamic Art. Another favorite was riding a ferry to the Asian side of the city. And on our last night we watched the sun set over the entire city from the Galata tour =) It was gorgeous.
Details will come when homework slows down, but just know, it was amazing =)
